I'm not having a newfie. Famous last words.
My sister brought one. I still wasn't having a newf! I did some of the working tests with her for a couple of years with my beloved goldens in tow. Who I may add didn't mind the water at all. Then in July 2003 came the welsh tour. Lake Bala for a weekend of water tests and on to Golden Grove for a day of draught tests. While we were in Wales we visited the monument to Swansea Jack, how special was he. We had a fabulous week and that was it. Nearly hooked on newfies.
Once home I was nagged. My son nagged, my sister nagged. I caved in. A week later my first newfie arrived, a white and black, we called him Guinness. Within 24 hours I was totally hooked. I now have three newfies (and one goldie) I cannot imagine life without them and am sure there will be more to come.
